June ...Gay Pride Month

Once again, its that magical yet more often than not, BUSY time of the year, The month of June is Gay Pride month, where we take pride in who we are, our meaning and roles in this world...as well as to our identity..we being gay men and women standing up for OUR rights,recognition, OUR overall strength in numbers as we unify as one....to take pride in how far weve come since the Stonewall riot days....Our right/fight to be equal:

But this year I find my mood/desire to participate simply mirrors the sentiments of last year...I really havent much interest to partake in the parades, block parties..partying,sex,drugs,clubbing,mingling,and the usual humdrum associated w/ pride events.In my 'Gay Life' I have attended over 40 different Pride parades, and events throughout the East as far North as Montreal Canada as Far South as Pensacola..and what great memories they were, but to me, these days the whole kit n kaboodle it simply isnt the same anymore, but thats just my opinion. But this weekend Washington D.C will host yet another Pride event marching its way through the busy & bustling streets of D.C. Needless to say I wont be in attendance w/ the expected 95 degree heat w/ a humidity index to match?? I dunno...Maybe Id be better off to stay close to home as opposed to having to succumb to a 7.00$ Mochaccino Venti Latte Macchiato @ Starbucks which by the way is strategically placed virtually on EVERY every block trying to stave off the oppressive heat, the sweat, the noisy parade attendees, and those who just refuse to get out of my way, therefore making me wanna throttle someone right there on the sidewalk..in the D.C. heat.... AT D.C. Pride....I THINK ILL PASS!

.Frankly Im happy just staying home and ordering a pizza and watching a movie w/ Hubby...Maybe Im getting old, Whos to say but I do know that Id like to wish EVERYONE a happy safe, fun filed Gay Pride Month TO ALL !

Im excited that I finally managed to get around to getting my podcast in order, and sometime this weekend I will do a test show or broadcast, I just need to figure what the hell Im going to play...what or IF I talk and such....Its Gay Pride weekend in Washington D.C. Memorial Day Weekend Re-Cap

I was destined to make the most out of this long holiday weekend...I assembled Ralph, Wade & Greg on Saturday woke their asses up and decided we wanted to go to H Mart..the local Nippon Market in Clarkesville, MD. I feel in love w/ this place the first time I stepped into this place, and this would be Ralphs first time there, I knew he would love it too...

Over and all it was a relaxing weekend even though I was still miffed over being 'snubbed' about that 'other' party..Oh well, it was great to relax, unwind, have a few drinks with some REAL friends!
