ransom MALware and BULLSHIT!
I havent been online all weekend except through my IPhone and that just isnt quite the same Im afraid, as wonderfully & deliciously (almost) overrated as this medium is/ was it just wasnt the same :( So I have been feeling 'off kilter' youd say
Been peridically chacking my ITunes for the 7,000 PLUS files I had in my library only to find that they ALL have exclaimation points next to each and every file Ive uploaded over the past 2 years....this is NOT a good thing
This in my past experience of dealing w/ this 1/2 bit , shoddy, shady, shitty ass program called ITunes when theres a ! that usually symbolizes that a file is NO LONGER AVAILABLE WTF?????
Ok, I think I need a drink.............
Weekend Overview
Saturday, Todd and Jerry had slept in late..I mean LATE (like 1130 a.m. late..at least for me) so I made a few calls in hope to round up as many people for an impromptu lunch which led us to lunch @ one of our favorite pizza places called Ledo Pizza hewre in Glen Burnie..He was very impressed w/ the food like I knew he would be, Brian, Greg, Jerry,Todd and myself made it to lunch and it was GREAT lunch too :)))

Afterwards we headed into Baltimore to this insane Army/Navy surplus store @ Franklin & Eutaw Street that I had never been to or heard of before...I felt the need to bring as much cash as humanly possible to this excursion..BUT I was good, and decided to leave my money in the car where Jerry waited . The boys loaded up on clothes, hats etc.. and Brian purchased some Fatigue gear for a future endeavor that involves a mutual friend of ours and some 'role playing' thing.......*ahem,* next...........
Then Todd wanted to go see Charm City Cakes @Remington & 29th Street he snapped a few pics of himself out front, doing the 'tourist thing' Greg helped him out w/ that, we then proceeded to the Inned Harbor where he seemed really impressed w/ the layout, remerked on the traffic,then headed to Fells Point where it was a typical Saturday, LOADS of people , Tourist(s),Joggers,Locals, Yuppies etc...

We were feeling a bit drained driving around, shopping and sightseeing all day long so we came back to the house and everyone took a well deserved siesta, and last night Wade and Todd went out to The Baltimore Eagle and before that went to some drag show @ The Phoenix, I really didnt feel like going to The Eagle let alone see another drag show...I was just pooped, and felt a rest took precedance over being 'social, so just the 2 of them went out while Jerry and I stayed home and snuggled in between bouts of fixing my computer which I picked up OVER 90 VIRUSES!?!?!? Thats another entry coming right up...HMPFH! Thank Buddha Jerry is as tech-savvy as he is..otherwise, Id be fucked!
I didnt even hear those guys coming in the house @ 3a.m. but I understand they had a GREAT time, Id only feel like a third wheel granted I went, so Im glad I hung out here, Todd is currently on his way to Fairfax, Va. to stay w/ some friends for the week hes known for years , but we are due to meet up @ Motley next Friday for Bear Happy Hour, which will be a fun time Im sure, If I were to grade this weekend Id give it a B+

NOOB (N.S.F.W.)
A brief background to this Viral video...these 'lads' had submitted a video of their 'skills' in an attempt to win a BMX bike in a contest as to what I dont know, however their flow is nothing short of complete 'comedic value'....closer to parody would be more accurate ;
I later came to find out last night I was watching one of those Top 50 Viral videos of all time, and THIS video of the Kersal Massive went straight to NUMBER ONE!!?!?!?!?
NUMBER FUCKING ONE???? REALLY......? WTF?
As Im sure you can see from the comments that appear on YouTube that these kids got a TON of shit, and flack for their style...Then I came across this Kersal Massive video that was remixed to a very slick Drum N Bass version...which Im reluctant to say...is really quite good...maybe the man who did this mix felt a certain need for some web redemption and slightly more forgiving that 99% of ths commenters for the original post of thisw Viral video..Whos to say
He did do them a hell of a favor and remixed the hell out of this ..check it out ....

Rest In Peace, Shane O Leary 1973-2010

Tuesday I learned through Lisa P. our friend Shane O Leary had passed away..Many different feelings enveloped my mind;...A plethora of emotions whirlwinded its way through my psyche, in different stages...first sadness,then confusion with a justifiable does of anger....
There is NO reason to take the good hearted away from this Earth, especially a soul that has given to this world and NEVER asked for a thing in return...and this alone I ask 'why'?
Why, take a dedicated hard working loving parent away from their child? Why rob yet another beautiful, multi dimensional soul of this Earth, extinguishing their light leaving their family, friends...and finally (but definitely not least) their children bewildered, questioning, lost, vulnerable...alone?
Forgive me for rambling, but I NEED to get this off my chest, Ive had a good, long, hard [much needed] cry on Tuesday & Wednesday, Im still mourning..to a point, but its quickly being cast aside with the inevitable anger that I can no longer hide. I really wanted to call some people who knew her as well as I did , but they dont live anywhere around here..also I know it would be anything short of impossible to get a word out edgewise without completely falling apart, & Im still not strong enough to either, I admit it...Ill own it*
On alighter note..A brief history............................
I remember meeting her through a friend of mine named Lisa P. I believe it was in 1992, I was 22 . She was 20, I remember her coming over to our place in Worcester Massachusetts with a motley crew of these raver/skater/tagger kids a pretty tight consortium of characters made their way in/out of the apartment on Stockton Street, those times I will not soon forget; anyways, we seemed to have many many elements in common..music,graffitti/art, fashion & our twisted sense of humor mainly..I recall many a night spent listening to bands like Throwing Muses, Fugazi, Cocteau Twins, Rancid,Operation Ivy and countless others, far too many to name;
As time went on and we became closer, I learned that she was @ Rob Roy Academy in Auburn, Massachusetts and was a student then, but eventually graduated, and was beginning to make a name for herself within the company. Eventually Ive seen her 'work' and what 'skills' she was able to demonstrate aesthetically it was only a matter of time before I HAD to have her dye [bleach] my hair, which occured on numerous occasions...and lemme tell you, noone..and I mean NOONE can do hair like Shaney and to this very day, NOONE can hold a candle to her skills either.
Ill miss most of all her ever infectious laugh, her snorking..her 'heeheehee*snork*heeheee' only thing missing was the milk streaming out of her nose, also our impromptu road trips out to the 'country' of east bumfuck to....god knows where, we drove and drove but a destination wasnt always a necessity...and those are the BEST road trips of all; But in time she and I both ended up in relationships she had a child, I eneded up in Hawaii, NYC and a billion other locations, and we eventually lost touch w/ eachother...or so I thought.
Until one day I think in 2006 I received a friend request on another social networking site she then (come to think of it, alwas has)...used her handle 'Ida Know'.. first thought on my mind was 'Who in the fuck is this 'Ida Know' chick?" come to find out it was Shane, we began chatting online about our endeavors in life, gossiped, took/gave advice to eachother and reached out to eachother as much as the keyboard would allow...then one of our last conversations was in November 2009 centered around coming up to visit, and maybe going to a gig/concert for old times sake, and to see her son Cameron whom I havent seen since at least 2000.
needless to say, due to timing, expenses, & responsibilities, I NEVER had that opportunity to touch base with her.
Ill end on this note because its hard to type when theres tears in my eyes;
Sleep tight Shane...Heaven apparently needed another Angel, you will be missed beyond comprehension...
Bless your Family, Cameron and Jake.

Voodoo Chow Mein

I couldnt tell you if it was the 5hour energy shot I had @ 10 a.m. this morning or the 'Grande Latte' from that mega powerhouse Coffee shop chain from Seattle or what, But I was feeling the 'inspiration' of creating some 'cullinary voodoo' which I trumped in on the opportunity..triple fold;
and the outcome was this....(above)
INGREDIENTS
Rice & Chow Mein Mix
********************
3.5 Cups of Brown Rice (white rice ok too)
6oz diced Chicken (can is ok, but the more 'fresh' the better
6oz Crab meat (preferrably real..NOT imitation, but the artificial is ok)
9oz stir fry vegetables, Mushrooms,Baby Corn,Bamboo Chutes, Water Chestnuts,Red Pepper etc..
*improvising along the way is ok too ie:Sun Dried Tomatoes,Onion,Green/RePepper, snow peas etc is fine too....get creative!
4oz Dried Chow Mein Noodles (store bought is fine, if not feeling that creative)
------------------------------------------
Crab Rangoon
*************
1 pkg Wonton wrappers (16 oz will yield btwn 40-50 Rangoons, depending on how well you stuff them)
1 whole brick of Cream Cheese (16 oz)
2-4 tblspn(s) of Lea & Perring Worcestershire Sauce
* you can also tweak the filling by adding Garlic, Thyme, Cilantro..or in this case Old Bay* season to desired taste
1-2 cans of Crab Meat OR Fresh Crabmeat (Blue Crab, King Crab, Dungeoness Crab will work as well too
MIX WELL & FOLD, FOLD, FOLD! to desired textured *the thicker the better, in this case
empty Crab/Cream Cheese mix into Ziploc baggie, cut end off then squuze desired amount into Wonton Wrapper, wet all 4 ends to guarantee cohesiveness, then fold into triangular shape, toss them into oil, bron both sides, 3-4 minutes each side usually proves adequate
FINALLY
add Hoisin Sauce (store bought o.k.) to Brown Rice, then add Chow Mein mix, top off w/ Dry Chow Mein Noodles
This can be tweaked, improvised in many different ways so get creative!
MANGIA! or however you say 'Eat' in Chinese LOL

And So It Begins...........................................
I was elated to see the attendee list top 22 in just over an hour. Our party last year hosted maybe 70 people throughout the day, but w/ the overcast, cool (almost chilly) day, only 3 people were brave enough to dip into the pool and risk testicular hypothermia..bless their hearts, but I was expecting those brave souls to come out of the pool hitting a HIGH falsetto, I was (kinda) disappointed to see otherwise LOL
We have MANY new elements of the party which will be revealed on/around the day of the party BUT I guarantee that it will be ever so memorable
NO HOLDS BARRED!
*HAPPY DANCE*CANT WAIT....CANT WAIT!

Care for a spot of Aloe???

Now, drinking this Aloe drink alone is fine...its a little biit on the bland side, which isnt a bad thing, granted. IT IS ALOE VERA, but in a drinkable form...GENIUS!
However it could use a little bit of Captain Morgans Rum or Tanqueray Gin..That would hit the spot!

MUSE & Silversun Pickups Patriot Center Fairfax, Va. 3/1/10

THE ROADS OF VIRGINIA SUCK....
THE ROADS SUCK SERIOUS ASS! * The clutter, congestion and gridlock had my feeble mind boggled w/ the ever apparent question that permiated my subconscience to the tune of "How in the f*ck do people do this commute...EVERY SINGLE DAY!?!?!?!? The traffic was THAT bad, Unfortunately the trip to Fairfax, Va. wouldve taken perhaps 90 minutes...but we arrived to the Patriot Center in about 2.5 hours..Needless to say our nerves were fried;
nuff bitching....on w./ the show.....................
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I NEVER anticipated Silversun Pickups being as good as they were, but they were riveting. They warmed the crowd up (with GREAT success) to a near frenzy, and pulled off an amazing 45-50 minute set granted I had heard their singles 'Panic Switch' & 'Substitution' off their latest release 'Swoon' but Im sorry to say I didnt recognize many songs they had performed But I was blown away by their stage presence and cohesiveness as a 4 piece unit..FLAWLESS!
Ill be getting further aquainted w/ the Pickups shortly, well worth my time invested indeed.
MUSE opened their set w/ an awe inspiring stage setup that was peppered w/ LED lights, strobes, flashpots, 50 foot canvas screens and 3 stage risers that towered the band over the audience by 50 feet hovering above the stage they opened their set w/ 'Resistance' blistering their way through an impeccable 90 minute set, performing many tracks off of '
The Reseistance' & 'Black Holes And Revelations'..set list below
1.Intro
2.Uprising
3.Resistance
4.New Born
5.Map of the Problematique
6.Supermassive Blackhole
7.Guiding Light
8.Hysteria
9.United States of Eurasia
10.Feeling Good
11.Drum and Bass Jam
12.Undisclosed Desires
13.Starlight
14.Time is Running Out
15.Unnatural Selection
16.Exogenesis Pt. 1
17.Plug In Baby
18.Knights of Cydonia
I would easily mesh this show into my all time top20 concerts next to the like of KISS, Gwar, Motorhead, Sonic Youth, Potishead...Id rank this show somewhere between numbers 10-12..Ralph and I were blown away, as were many in attendance.

forgotten priorities
And yes, Hubby and I made up last night, after my cooloff drive which ultimately led me to Bear Happy Hour @ Leons, considering it was Happy Hour I stayed long enough to have one beer, then gave my other one to my friend Dan then went home. I got home to find Jerry sleeping like a log, I cuddled up to him and we snuggled the entire night til we drifted off into a blissful slumber.
